Thoughts on my time occupying Wall Street:

I stayed out on the streets the very first night. It was freezing. I’ve been going pretty much every other day for the past 11 days. I want to recap what’s been going on from my perspective. But first:

Why I occupy Wall Street:

I have been wanting America to wake up and join the rest of the World in the Revolution ever since I learned about Tunisia, Egypt, Madrid, Iceland, Israel, Libya, Syria, Yemen, & Chile revolting in the streets (who am I missing?) The people have been rising up, attempting to take over their cities for a lot of different reasons. In India the people started starving themselves simply for “corruption.” I believe corruption is essentially what the World is revolting against. Some countries have it much worse than others. But We the People are ALL getting screwed.

I think of Somalia. There has been a famine happening for the past few months, hardly anyone is discussing this in the media. It got a little coverage. A person dies every six minutes do to the lack of food and water. MASS DEATH is happening and no one is talking about it. There has been a lot of famine in Africa, for a long time. WHY? WHY? The World has been donating to Africa for years! Ever since TV was able to bring us footage of the starvation in Africa, people started donating. There is technology that has been created to solve problems over there. The entire World has donated to disaster relief, but the leaders are SO CORRUPT, that the money never makes its way down to the people who need it most. It ends up in the hands of a small group of very powerful, corrupt, violent people.

In other impoverished countries children work for pennies a day, all day, in hazardous conditions. They are beaten, forced to work for pennies. All so they can produce things-things-things for developed Western countries to consume-consume-consume. These things are purposely produced to fall apart within a certain time span so we have to turn around and buy a new one, or a new model. These corporations save money by exploiting workers, especially children. They no longer want to hire American Union workers because it costs far too much money. So America now has record unemployment. They exploit the consumer by selling products for way more than it cost to make, build it with a set lifespan, and brainwash us with advertisement so we feel we need more-more-more.

There is much more to discuss, but primarily the concern is PEOPLE OVER PROFIT. END THE WARS. Bring the War dollars home. Spend it on education, innovation, infrastructure, environmental/sustainable advancements. I want to revoke the rights of corporations. If they commit a crime against Humanity, they must-must-must be held accountable. Not just some million dollar fine THAT NEVER MAKES ITS WAY DOWN TO THE PEOPLE WHO NEED IT. Stop the exploitation of children workers over-seas and hire Americans to work, even if they are in a Union. Unions exist to protect the workers. Unions are a good thing.

We MUST put an end to lobbying. No more corporate influence on our politicians. PEOPLE OVER PROFITS. Just to give a clear example: The extraction, production and burning of fossil fuels causes birth defects, infertility, miscarriages, asthma and cancer. The Fossil fuel industry stifled the science, and TRUTH that they were poisoning our air, water and soil. Americans just believe Cancer is just “life.” It isn’t. 1 in 7 Americans get Cancer now. That is an all time high! Corporations have been posioing us for decades, the science is out, yet they are allowed to continue to posion us. WHY? Because the pharmaceutical corporations and health insurance companies make TRILLIONS off of sick people and control our government. Enough is enough. PEOPLE OVER PROFITS.

Again there is much to discuss. I wan’t to try to keep these posts short so people will actually read them. Stay tuned for more!

VIVE LE REVOLUTION!

Here is a video interview I took on the first morning after the Occupy Wall Street protest. More to come. Stay tuned.

If you read my blog, you know I have been waiting for the American Revolution to begin for quite sometime now. Well, IT’S FINALLY BEGUN, MY FRIENDS! Occupy Wall Street - a protest fueled by peace activists, the poor, the youth, the angry, the over-educated, swimming-in-debt, unemployed, veteran activists, 87 year old raging grannies, parents with their children, ETC. People born in America and people born in countries all over the World. “The banks got bailed out, we got sold-out.”
We want the Wars to end. We want the corruption in war torn countries to stop. We want the war dollars to go towards education, health care, bridges, roads, the elderly, and the poor. We want corporate money to stop influencing our congress. We need it to stop. We want to end Corporate Personhood (revoke the rights of corporations and hold certain corporations accountable for their crimes against humanity), the root of most of our World’s problems. We want community banks. We want the people to be bailed out, not the banks, over and over again.
On Friday, September 16th I particpated in a performance activism piece with the Arts and Culture committee of the Occupy Wall Street protest. I offered cake to the wealthy bankers and traders, the occassional rich tourists, and only gave tiny crumbs to everyone else. The purpose was to ignite a spark for everyone to let them know that the following night, Saturday, we were going to occupy the streets. REVOLUTION!
We did. A few thousand strong, we rallied without a permit. The cops barricaded Wall Street, which is against our First Constitutional right. The protest ended up in a privatly owned park, Zuccotti Park. Symbolically located on Liberty and Broadway. We have now dubbed it Liberty Plaza. 200 hundred plus slept in the park the first night. It was the first night the temperature dropped. It was cold, I slept on a cold marble slab bench. I had a sheet and a blanket, tents aren’t allowed. I only got a few hours of sleep.
Woke up the next morning, I saw cop vans pull up. About 6 vans pulled up. 8 or so cops in the back seat. I walked right up to the Deputy Sherriff, or whatever you call the main guy in charge and I told him we were going to have a beautifully peaceful day, that we were there for peace. As soon as I said that he ordered the vans to leave. It was wonderful.
Later in the day the group of protesters voted on not having a liaison with the police, which I feel was the wrong decision, especially since I had had such good luck that morning. But, the whole group voted, that if the police wanted to speak to the mob, they speak to us all at once (which is difficult, considering we are a big group). Yesterday, several of the protesters were badly beaten, abused, slammed on the ground, denied inhalers, bloodied hands, etc. I’m hoping the group revotes to have a liaison. It just makes sense. Less violence from the cops, for sure.
I will be posting video interviews from protesters here. Stay tuned. Stay strong. Join us. Liberty and Broadway. #revolution

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

—Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Charlie Chaplin speaks the greatest speech ever made. This makes me cry every time. SO INSPIRING. SO TRUE! Very powerful.

Please watch and reblog.

WATCH! 24 Hour Climate Reality Project. 24 presenters. 24 time zones. 13 languages. 1 message.

Are you still on the fence about Climate Change and Global Warming? It doesn’t surprise me. Millions, if not billions of dollars have gone into propaganda causing doubt about the science since the 1990’s. Much like the Tobacco tactics used in the past. But the REALITY is, 97% of scientists agree that climate change is real, man-made, and caused by burning of Fossil Fuels. Not volcanoes, or sun flares. The burning of Fossil Fuels is not only harmful to our air, water, soil, and health, but the cause of the catastrophic climate we’ve seen recently. In 2011 alone, we’ve seen historical record snow, rain, floods, tornadoes, heat, drought, wildfires, and dust storms. The more carbon in the air, the more moisture, the more moisture, the more catastrophic storms. The solution? GREEN, CLEAN RENEWABLE ENERGY. We must conserve energy, convert our energy, consume less, produce less waste, stop using fossil fuels, and we must do it now. Millions of jobs around the World can be created right now, but the Fossil Fuels are holding our Congress hostage.

After getting arrested to raise awareness on this issue, I’ve come to the conclusion that the most powerful corporations in our World, the Big Polluters, Big Oil, Big Coal, Big Natural Gas, Big Nuclear, Big Defense, Big Pharmaceutical, and Big Agriculture (all whom own the media) ALL PROFIT FROM DESTRUCTION. They WANT climate change. More people get sick, more people buy pills, the price of food goes up, they get huge contracts to rebuild roads and bridges. The more times a bridge is destroyed by a flood, the more the bridge builders get paid to build.

WE ARE JUST PROFITABLE DEATHS TO THESE TRANSNATIONAL CORPORATIONS. This is the reality folks. This is the real World we live in. They profit from disaster, they are the cause of it, they have lied to us, suppressed cures, technology and science for DECADES. No matter what you think, you are at risk from their lies, so it’s best we ALL join together to fight and solve this problem. We can end war, we can be self sufficient, we can be a healthy civilization, if we wake up from the lies…

“Do cigarettes cause cancer?” “No” said the corporations making billions. “Is Climate Change real?” “No”, says the corporations making billions.

fotos…

hey guys, so, this isn’t a rant about our government, or war, or the environment. this is a quick post to share some modeling photos with everyone. i’m working on my personal website, to begin to pitch my third original play. take a look at some photos from a fun shoot! more to come, xoxo

The families of those who were lost on 9/11 made a documentary film called 9/11 Press for Truth, about what the mainstream media isn’t discussing, what was missing from the 9/11 Commission Report and a whole bunch of information every Patriotic American should know. Instead of watching an hour of reality TV this week, please watch what the FAMILIES want you to watch! WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE! Smells like a trillion dollar ten year war for the Bush family!

Remember, you can’t have bullshit without Bush!

The families of those who died on 9/11, architects and engineers want you to watch this 15 minute video discussing the World Trade Center Tower 7 that fell at 5:20pm on 9/11. It was never struck by a plane, yet it fell. 75% of New Yorkers polled hadn’t even heard of this third tower. Have you? Please watch. Thank you.

The families of those who died on 9/11 made this 40 second commercial urging a new investigation in to World Trade Center Tower 7 that fell on 9/11. It was not struck by a plane, only had fire. According to the government the fire took this building down. Thousands of family members, architects and engineers do not agree. Steel buildings do not fall like this from fire. Physicists say it is impossible. This was a controlled demolition. It takes months to prep a building for a demolition. Who put the bombs in the buildings? Why was this building never mentioned in the 9/11 Commission Report? Please watch.

To question your government is not unpatriotic — to not question your government is unpatriotic.

—Senator Chuck Hagel - on the Iraq War

300 years of Fossil Fuels in 300 seconds. Awesome!
